And we still have a week to go!

We did it! And with time to spare! So it's time we start talking about some stretch goals~

Instead of producing extra merch for the campaign, this time around we've decided to focus on making already existing rewards better. So here's the breakdown and what we're going to be fighting for these last ten days. 

We still have more than a week to go, so all of these are well within reach!

Bird with Stick

The series will be a total of 3 issues, spinning a heroic adventure that traverses the region known as The Greenish. When birdsong abruptly disappears one morning without any explanation, suspicion and accusation divides the Bird Kingdom into violent oppression. But one small Nightingale risks everything to seek out the true cause and restore his song. 

Early Haunts

The ghost story, one of the oldest forms of narrative which has terrified and intrigued audiences for millennia. Now four early ghost stories, mostly forgotten in the depths of literary history are brought together for the first time in one graphic novel adaptation. Early Haunts collates four early supernatural tales which each inspired some of history's greatest horror publications.

AC is back from pandemic hiatus, y'all!

We're staring our goal in its face - it's hard to believe we've only been live for one week! We're all so moved by the level of support everyone has shown. I want to give a little background as to why this means so much to all of us. 

It was only Summer last year, that Arledge Comics expanded. We went from a small indie imprint to a creator owned press - officially open and ready to accept pitches for comics and graphic novels. Fifteen months ago! Mike's No Going Back was the very first pitch we signed since that announcement. And then - well, you know - Covid happened. 

The pandemic is terrifying on a personal level - as I'm sure many of you can relate to. But as a small publisher that just recently expanded? I'm sure there's a very nervous emoji I could insert right here. Conventions cancelled - stores closed - printers shuttered. We put a lot of things on hold simply because we had to. With printers now operational, and stores opening back up, this is our first Kickstarter this year. And we were all understandably nervous.

So, from Mike and the comic team & from the whole AC team, thank you - THANK YOU - for supporting this book. <3

What's next?

We're only a week into the campaign, and we're sitting comfortably above 60% funded. So we suppose we should start considering stretch goals, eh? What do you want to see? Is there a reward we haven't thought of that you want with the book? Are you craving more stickers? A new pin? Or an all new short story? What do you want to see next?
